We have a position for a full time experienced  veterinary nurse to join us at our Craigieburn veterinary clinic.

The position would suit a nurse who is seeking the opportunity to work in a large practice with many areas of interest where they will have the opportunity to build on their general nursing skills & undertake more advanced nursing activities. As well as doing the general nursing duties (ie reception, monitoring anaesthetics & cleaning) our nurses are encouraged to play an active role in consultations , place catheters, collect blood samples , bandage legs & perform regular monitoring of the hospital patients.

As your skills develop there will be the opportunity to assist with the following activities:

• Freezing of semen samples
• Frozen semen inseminations
• Taking of ECG’s
• Regular blood pressure monitoring
• Laparoscopy
• Emergency medicine

Continued education is encouraged & supported in our practices.

A cert IV or diploma of veterinary nursing would be an advantage but preference will be given to candidates with the right attitude who want to succeed & progress as a nurse & make nursing a career.

Our clinics are located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne & are within easy walking distance of railway stations.
